![]() ![]() Opened Netshare, browsed to a page in safari on the macbook, saw Proxifier get the connections, saw netshare get the connections. I have to do this every time the phone sleeps, actually, but when I'm doing this I can set auto-lock to "never." I had to open a page in MobileSafari so that the phone would switch from Wifi to 3G. In Options->Name Resolution, clicked "Enable" Created a new proxy connection to 192.168.10.1 and then port 1080, type of SOCKS 5. For some reason en2 (some Parallels fake-netdevice) was above my airport and things weren't working. One thing that I had to do differently was make sure my Airport was first in the "order" of network connections in my new network location. That is, set up the static IP for the Airport but do not change anything in the proxy settings. Followed these instructions to letter EXCEPT for the proxy stuff in sys prefs. When/if it gets back up to AppStore I will certainly buy it, and if not, I'll figure out another proxy app.) There are other proxies in Cydia that you can use, but since all the tutorials reference NetShare I decided to use that. (Note: NetShare was for sale for $10, but is no longer available. I scp'ed that to the /Applications folder and restarted the phone. Installed openssh and whatever in cydia on the phone. That took forever (30m?) but it finished fine. After the jailbreak I restored from backup in iTunes to get all my apps back and stuff. I just went into expert mode, OK'd the defaults (except for their gross boot screen and I turned off activation because I am on AT&T legit) and followed the instructions exactly. You need a ipsw of the 2.0.1 firmware, but a quick google will find that in many places. Make sure the iphone is latest Apple rev (2.0.1) my only remaining problem is that I need to keep an eye on my AT&T bills for a couple of months - View image here: -Here's my steps: Download Proxifier for Mac I just did this using a 3G iphone, PwnageTool 2.0.2 and Proxifier.
